Now I’m not really a fan of the word ‘upcycled’ because it kinda sounds cheap and like anyone can do it and trust me that is not the case!
Because when done right ‘upcycled’ furniture is a sure fire way to make a room feel truely unique and give that client something literally no one else has! How cool is that?!

Upcycled furniture has become increasingly popular and I have noticed the increase in demand over the 4 years since starting Stacey’s Furniture Shop. People are more environmentally conscious and appreciate the beauty of turning something not so pretty into something fantastic. It is also a great way to keep family heirlooms moving through generations but with a new look to match the new owners style. Vintage pieces are often much better made with strong craftsmanship unlike pieces you see on the market today. The attention to detail and intricate carvings adorned on some pieces are truly beautiful. I don’t know about you, but I know I would rather have a hand crafted solid piece than a piece of particulate board that has been mass produced.

The details on this piece are unlike those you would find on furniture today, the details upon this bedside have been enhanced further with dark wax.

If you are looking to create a sustainable interior for your client then upcycling is a great way to lean into that, you will also be able to choose the EXACT colour, design, handles, or we can apply wallpaper on the drawer fronts-or inside them, that perhaps match wallpaper you may have used elsewhere in the room!
If it is a family heirloom we can stencil important dates inside, or keep origInal hardware but mix it with a stylish twist.
